Hi, I’m Daniel — a dog and wildlife photographer from County Durham.

I’ve always been drawn to capturing real personality, whether it’s a muddy-pawed spaniel mid-sprint or a calm old soul with greying fur. I don’t do stiff poses or studio lights — I want the kind of photos that make you smile every time you look at them.

When I’m not out photographing dogs, you’ll usually find me wandering through nature reserves chasing owls, kestrels, and kingfishers — I’m a published wildlife photographer, and that’s where my passion for nature truly started.

I run Outdoor Pawtraits, where I get to combine those two worlds — my love of animals and the outdoors — to create honest, heart-warming portraits that really show what makes each dog special. Whether it’s for yourself or a gift for someone else, every photo is personal to me, because I know how much these moments mean.
